I'm Amber, a brand photographer providing impactful and purposeful imagery for personal and business based brands. Let me just start by saying "I see you, I feel you, and I've been." I know you have this dream of being a successful entrepreneur, i've had that same dream friend! After leaving my 9-5 job and becoming a mother, I too had that moment where I was trying to figure out my passion and purpose in life. I had this lightbulb moment of "Maybe's". Maybe I can be a photographer, maybe I can really do this, and maybe I can help others grow their business through visual storytelling. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting started in your entrepreneurial journey I'm here to help YOU. I'll guide you through your entire experience from planning your shoot to delivering your images and all the fun things in between. Together we'll capture all the beautiful details, behind the scenes, product shots, get "THE SHOT" and SO much more.
If we were meeting for the first time, how would you describe what it is you do?
I provide impactful and purposeful brand photography to personal and business based brands.
How long have you been doing it?
What inspired you to, turn your passion into a business?
Im living the dream! I love what I do and being able to provide my clients with impactful and purposeful imagery to grow their own business is everything and more.
If you could go back in time, what would be something you’d change from when you were starting out? Or what advice would you give your younger self?
Stop letting fear keep you from pursuing your passion. It’s ok to ask for help when you need it. Allow yourself room to make mistakes, learn from them, and grow.
What were the hardest aspects of starting your own business & how did you overcome them?
For me it was having all my ducks in a row prior to being super busy. The shooting aspect I was all set but the back end, the workflow, the marketing etc is where I needed more help. So I hired a mentor :) Paige ray- a fellow brand photographer out in CA. I did a 1:1 mentor session with her to help me get everything squared away.
What advice would you tell someone who has big dreams but financially cant afford to create their own business?
Do what you can with the money you do have. Everyone starts out somewhere, don’t be afraid to ask for help where you need it. There are many ways to grow without needing finances to do so. Intern, offer a trade of services etc. Be creative and think outside the box.
Where do you find support for your dream and how do you keep your creativity alive?
My family! As cliche as that sounds it’s true. They are my biggest supporters and the ones I can talk too. Since they are not in the same industry its helpful to get another point of view.
As far as keeping my creativity alive... I like to look for inspiration in other areas of life. When i’m feeling burnt out and tired I like to give myself a break by doing some form of self care(go to a pilates class, take a walk in the fresh air, even focus my energy on something outside of work).
What is one office|business must have? A program or tool that was life changing when you discovered it?
Honeybook! I’m an organizing junkie. Honeybook is the client management system I use to manage my business and help me stay on track.

What advice do you have for women who are still struggling to find their style/niche?
Have an open mind and keep trying new things and don’t be afraid to ask others questions! It took me a good 2-2.5 years before I went all in with brand photography. The best things take time ;)
On your path to your current business, did you ever come across a moment where you doubted yourself? I think it’s human to sometimes lose all faith in ourselves and our ability to create. What would you tell someone who may be in this spot right now?
Absolutely. We all have those days of self doubt- we’re human. My biggest advice is to take it day by day and give yourself grace. If you need to take a step back for a few days than allow yourself that time to mentally get back to a positive place.
Who is one person in your field that you look up to?
ah there's so many I love and all for different reasons- Abby Grace, Christina Jones, Meg Marie, Paige Ray, Tracey Jazmin
What is one workshop or conference/expo you’ve attended that inspired you so much, you would attend again?!
I haven't been to an in person workshop 😬 right as I fully dove into brand photography the world shut down due to covid. I love a good online course tho 😉
What is your go-to tool of your trade that you couldn’t live without
my camera 😂I know that sounds like a given but I seriously love capturing life
Your Fave Preset Collection
What is your MOST favorite project you’ve worked on?
Ah that’s like asking who my favorite child is 😂
I love all of my sessions for different reasons. That’s one of the many things I LOVE about brand photography- Even if my clients are in the same field, no two sessions will ever be the exact same.
What is one tip you have for women who are struggling to grow on social media?
Just show up... You dont have to be perfect. As a recovering perfectionist I know how difficult it is to want to wait until everything is perfect. BUT any "flaws" we see in ourselves more than likely others dont even notice.
